I began working with children over 17 years ago and have been doing so in various capacities ever since. Beginning as a babysitter, in high school I interned in a pre-k and in a kindergarten, and later worked as a nanny. In college I focused my course work on developmental psychology and received a BA in psychology, graduating Magna Cum Laude and earning the Outstanding Graduate Award. While earning this degree I interned at the Center for Preventive Psychiatry (in White Plains, NY) where I worked with 3-6 year-olds who had a variety of emotional, developmental and psychological issues. I was also invited to be a Senior Research Assistant to the head of the psychology department in a developmental research study at SUNY New Paltz.

I earned a Master’s degree in Education from Sarah Lawrence College where I was asked to assist in a pre-k/kindergarten class at the college’s Early Childhood Center. This was followed by a year of student teaching in Larchmont, NY, and New York City.

Since completing my Master's degree, I have taught pre-k and kindergarten in three states, in public and private schools, and in affluent and underprivileged communities. In all these settings I have seen similar issues facing diverse populations, and I have been asked identical questions regarding childhood behavior everywhere I go. I was deeply impressed by the sheer volume of requests for help, and became intrigued with the idea of being able to help families more easily and quickly by using home visits. This allowed me to assess and begin resolving issues immediately, and evolved into my becoming a full-time Parenting Coach.

After teaching and caring for more than 200 children over 17 years I have seen tremendous love, respect, and devotion from parents. But I've also seen them struggling with frustrating, difficult behavioral problems that often have surprisingly simple solutions. I am delighted to be helping parents discover these solutions, thereby enhancing and strengthening relationships with their children!
